On Water

One of the first things that you will strike you on visiting Inverness for the first time is the amount of water everywhere.  The unique geography of the Moray Firth results in seven rivers flowing into the sea within 30 minutes drive of Inverness. Add to these the magnificent coastal scenery, the amazing 95km long Caledonian Canal and freshwater lochs (lakes) such as Loch Ness, Loch Duntelchaig and Loch Achilty and we have a real paradise for watersports fans.
